Organizations supporting high school competition
A number of organizations support forensics competition in the nation's high schools, middle schools, and junior high schools. Learn about them on their web pages.
| National Federation High Schools Speech, Debate, and Theatre Association. NFHS-SDTA provides in-service training, shares information on coaching skills, assists state coordinators with development of programs, and provides high school directors with opportunities for professional development. | |
| National Forensic League. NFL sponsors national forensics competition and maintains a system of awards for high school forensics participants. | |
| National Catholic Forensic League. The NCFL sponsors tournaments each year for high school students in a number of events. Membership is open to public and private high schools. | |
| National Debate Coaches Association. The NDCA is a national advocacy group promoting the profession of debate coaching in high schools across the nation. The group regularly publishes in the Rostum, maintains an extensive list of judge philosophies, holds an annual convention, and promotes debate coaching with administrators and school organizations | |
| National Association of Urban Debate Leagues. The UDL encourages the development of high school forensics competition in urban areas where opportunities may be more limited. |
